Niantic River Coffee and Tea Pot
I love to create different shapes for coffee pots. Since moving to the south east shore of Connecticut my work is definitely influenced from living near the water.
Niantic River coffee and tea pot is wheel thrown using red earthenware clay, with rich dark blue cobalt colors, against a white slip background. Sgraffito lines are drawn through the white slip, creating water scenes all around the piece with great detail of the Niantic River. Fired to cone 04 with a transparent glaze.
Dimensions: 9” x 5” x 8.5”
